Understanding your benefits

At Alpine Family Dental, we believe that optimal care is based on our findings and expertise, in combination with our patients' goals and concerns. We are committed to providing you with ideal care and the most appropriate treatment recommendations for your oral health needs. This may or may not include what is covered by your insurance plan.

While we are out of network, we work with all private insurance companies and submit claims as a courtesy for our patients.  We can also request pretreatment estimates in order to plan and phase restorative, cosmetic, orthodontic, and other forms of comprehensive care.

Payment is due in full at the time of service. We accept many forms of payment, including cash, checks, all major credit cards, online payment through square, and financing through Cherry or Care Credit.

If you are working with an insurance plan, we will submit your claim on your behalf. Your insurance company will then reimburse you directly according to their protocols. This typically takes 2-4 weeks.

●  Dental insurance differs from medical insurance. Dental insurance can be thought of as a discount coupon that helps to supplement the costs of certain procedures, often in a tiered fashion.  Preventive services may be covered or mostly covered, while other therapeutic and restorative procedures may not be fully covered, or even covered at all. There is generally an annual maximum benefit.

● We strive to provide you with the appropriate care and optimal recommendations, without making decisions that are insurance-driven.  We do this out of deep respect for the role we play as your oral health care providers, informing you of the care we would recommend to our own family members. That is the care we believe you deserve.

● Please review your dental insurance plan with your insurance company or HR representative to better understand the benefits they make available as part of your coverage. The portion covered for procedures varies depending on the coverage provided by your employer/insurance plan.

● If you request it in advance, an estimate of the amount covered by your insurance company may be provided at the time of your treatment, based on the information they provide to us. The estimate is never a guarantee of benefits or the amount that will be paid by your insurance provider.

● Payment is due in full at the time of service. You are responsible for the cost of your services. We will file insurance claims as a courtesy to our patients. This does not transfer the responsibility of your financial obligation to the insurance company.

● Many treatment plans can be performed over months or years, allowing costs to be distributed over time.  Financing options may be available through Cherry or CareCredit. Please let us know if you have questions about our financial policies or financing options prior to your treatment.
